Itinerary
Everyone is an artist! Yes, a drawing workshop inside the Orsay for all ages, not just children! During the first hour I will walk you through the collection. Learning about the diverse techniques of the masters, listening & looking. The second part of our time together is when you take over and start to respond to the artworks. The drawing workshop begins. I will take you to the less crowded galleries where we can find the early paintings of Monet, Cézanne and also major works by Manet, Courbet, Carpeaux and the sculpture gallery. Here we will have the space to do some drawing exercises. Skill and expertise in drawing is not necessary, no value judgement is required, our goal is the fun of the adventure. I am there to encourage a sense of observation & curiosity and to explore individual expression with drawing. A drawing board, paper, HB pencils & coloured pencils will be provided. A Museum Ticket is included in the price. I’m an Irish artist & specialist decorator. I’m also now, for the past 10 years, a Paris Museum Guide.
