The Latin Quarter of Paris or Quartier latin situated on the left bank of the Seine river close to Notre-Dame de Paris is known for its University, high schools, student life, lively atmosphere, and numerous bistros. Its name is related to the Latin language which was widely spoken during the Middle Ages in and around the University.

12:15 - 13:00  The Sainte-Chapelle (Holy Chapel) is a Royal chapel constructed in the Gothic style in 1248 having one of the most extensive 13th-century stained glass collections anywhere in the world. It is a part of the medieval Palais de la Cité, the residence of the Kings of France until the 14th century and one of the earliest surviving buildings of the Royal palace on the Île de la Cité. Damaged during the French Revolution it was restored in the 19th century.
